Job summary

nVent is opening a new state‑of‑the‑art facility in Blaine, MN, seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own projects end‑to‑end and lead RCCA for durable solutions. You will mentor a small team of technicians and manage ECOs while supporting CAPEX requests and new equipment implementation.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years of manufacturing experience, and proficiency with Lean tools, CAD (SolidWorks), Minitab, and JD Edwards/Enovia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
• 2+ years of people leadership or mentorship experience preferred.
• Extensive experience with Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and statistical analysis software (Minitab preferred).
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred) and PLM systems (Enovia preferred).
• Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing projects from start to finish, including creating project plans, managing budgets, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Facilitate process improvements using Lean manufacturing tools to optimize layouts, improve material flow, and reduce waste.
• Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) requests, including justification and implementation of new equipment.
• Design and develop fixtures to support production and improve quality.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis (RCCA) to implement lasting solutions.
• Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and review/update manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to a small team of manufacturing engineering technicians.
