Job summary

nVent is seeking an on-site New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineer in Minnesota to lead launch activities from kickoff through PPAP and Safe Launch containment. You’ll work with Design, Operations, Program Management, and Supply Chain to ensure successful product introductions.

You will apply engineering expertise to ensure products are safe, scalable, and built for success, collaborating across teams to manage timelines, quality, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
• 3+ years as an Engineer or 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of NPI principles and ECN integration into quality planning.
• Experience with FMEAs and process flow diagrams.
• Familiarity with GD&T and interpreting engineering drawings.
• CAD proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing projects from kickoff to PPAP and Safe Launch.
• Review SPC data, assess risks, and reduce RPNs.
• Align design with manufacturing processes to scale production while upholding quality.
• Document program results and ensure internal/external compliance.
• Develop APQP outputs including FMEAs and control plans with quality teams.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to create fixtures and job aids for launches.
• Contribute to innovative solutions for product and process challenges.
