Job summary

Liberty University seeks a skilled Fleet Technician III to perform maintenance and repairs on automobiles, light and heavy‑duty equipment and trucks. Under general supervision you will inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems and document work orders.

The role requires a high school diploma, nine years of repair experience with an apprenticeship, Virginia driver’s license, eight ASE certifications, ability to lift 50+ pounds, and on‑site work at the Transportation Shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 9 years of automotive repair experience.
• State inspectors license and at least 8 ASE certifications required.
• Virginia driver’s license and acceptable DMV record; liability insurance as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical defects on vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems; repair engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain repair records and time worked; follow documentation procedures.
• Provide guidance to Fleet Technicians; communicate issues to operators and supervisors.
