Job summary

Pacer Group in San Diego, CA is seeking a Material Handler 1 / Inventory Control Coordinator for an onsite contract role. You will manage inventory within a laboratory environment, support Manufacturing, Logistics, Distribution and Planning, and perform cycle counts and discrepancy investigations.

This position is inventory control focused, not a warehouse or forklift role. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, providing materials to internal teams, handling inbound/outbound

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience in inventory management, shipping, manufacturing, or related environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bulk inventory and paper/electronic records.
• Perform routine cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Provide materials to Manufacturing and internal customers.
• Manage inbound and outbound stock transfers and raw materials.
• Investigate inventory issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
• Support department policies, procedures, and process improvements.
• Monitor inventory systems and daily dashboard metrics.
• Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Planning teams.
• Follow all EH&S policies and maintain a safe work environment.
