Job Summary
- The Inventory Control Coordinator will manage inventory activities within a laboratory environment, supporting Manufacturing, Logistics, Distribution, Planning, and other internal teams. This is primarily an inventory control role, not a warehouse or forklift position.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bulk inventory and paper/electronic records.
- Perform routine cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Provide materials to Manufacturing and internal customers.
- Manage inbound and outbound stock transfers and raw materials.
- Investigate inventory issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
- Support department policies, procedures, and process improvements.
- Monitor inventory systems and daily dashboard metrics.
- Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Planning teams.
- Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management, shipping, manufacturing, or a related environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-directed with strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous ERP system experience.
- Knowledge of logistics, manufacturing, and production planning.
- Experience with Lean / Six Sigma or continuous improvement tools.
- Mixed Laboratory and Warehouse Environment
