Job summary

TAK Broadband, LLC, a leading U.S. fiber broadband network contractor, seeks a Junior IT Security Administrator for our Sioux Falls, SD corporate office. You will support daily security operations, manage security tools, investigate incidents, educate users, and assist compliance in a dynamic environment.

The role is onsite daily in Sioux Falls. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years IT or security experience preferred; eagerness to learn in a fast-paced setting.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field (or equivalent experience and certifications)
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Azure Security Engineer Associate; CEH/GIAC a plus
• Intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity principles: threat detection, incident response, and network security
• Familiarity with EDR/XDR, firewalls, SASE, and cloud security (Azure/M365)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail for investigations
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating education and audits

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor XDR/MDR solutions for threat detection and response
• Oversee deployment and maintenance of EDR across endpoints
• Handle messaging security to protect against email threats
• Administer security configurations for Microsoft 365 and Azure tenants
• Manage firewalls, SASE endpoints, and VPN clients for secure access
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and anomalies
• Coordinate internal security education programs and simulated phishing campaigns
• Assist with compliance by responding to customer audits and maintaining documentation
