Leica Biosystems, part of the Danaher family, is seeking a Junior Buyer to help ensure timely material availability for manufacturing and operations in Vista, California. You will place and manage raw material purchase orders, monitor supplier deliveries, and escalate shortages to keep production on track.

This onsite role collaborates with Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and other partners; requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years purchasing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of purchasing processes, PO management, and supplier delivery follow-up.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• ERP experience, SAP preferred; knowledge of purchasing programs and MRP.
• Supplier management and performance reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Place and maintain raw material purchase orders and releases based on Planning direction and MRP requirements.
• Track, confirm, and expedite supplier deliveries, following up on open orders and escalating potential delays or risks.
• Maintain material shortage and stock-out reporting, including supplier commitments and recovery actions.
• Support supplier onboarding and maintain purchasing information in systems.
• Collaborate onsite with Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse to resolve material availability issues.
