Job summary

Feeser’s Food Distributors, a Harrisburg-based foodservice distributor, seeks a Junior Buyer to support inventory replenishment, PO administration, supplier communication, and data-driven inventory analysis within assigned categories. You’ll help maintain product availability, ensure order accuracy, and resolve purchasing issues to keep processes efficient.

This on-site role offers exposure to a fast-paced supply chain and opportunities to learn all aspects of purchasing within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or finance.
• 0–2 years purchasing, merchandising, inventory, warehouse, customer service, or distribution experience.
• Food service or food distribution experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders under established purchasing guidelines.
• Review system-generated purchasing recommendations.
• Monitor open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with suppliers on confirmations and lead times.
• Maintain purchasing reports and inventory performance metrics.
• Support forecasting activities through data collection and reporting.
• Assist with identifying inventory opportunities and risks.
• Coordinate with warehouse and receiving teams regarding incoming products.
