Job summary

NRI North America is seeking a qualified Computer Support Technician to join our professional services team providing onsite support at school districts in Nassau County, NY. This full-time role is onsite 5 days per week with travel between multiple sites throughout the day.

You will respond to help desk tickets, resolve hardware and software issues, configure devices, and maintain IT assets while collaborating with the IT team on upgrades and improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree not required; associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of IT support experience in a help desk or field role.
• Solid understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and software.

Responsibilities

• Respond to help desk tickets and assist users with hardware and software issues.
• Diagnose and resolve problems with computers, printers, and network connectivity.
• Set up and configure computers, peripherals, and software for new and existing users.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates for security and performance.
• Maintain records of support requests and inventory of IT assets.
• Assist in monitoring network infrastructure, including routers and switches.
• Provide training and support to users on new software and technologies.
