Job summary

Meet Life Sciences in Boston is seeking an IT Service Desk Technician to join a hands-on, onsite team. This role supports employees across the business, including executives, ensuring IT systems, hardware, and software stay operational.

You must work onsite Monday–Friday. The contract is 6 months with potential extension, and the position offers up to $38/hour. Responsibilities include incident triage, setup of laptops, and user assistance with Microsoft 365 apps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or equivalent experience.
• Previous IT Service Desk or Desktop Support experience.
• Experience with Jira or similar ITSM tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to support executives and non-technical stakeholders professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Troubleshoot and resolve end-user technical issues both remotely and in person.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, peripherals, and software.
• Manage and track support requests through Jira or a similar ticketing platform.
• Assist with system upgrades, technology rollouts, and IT projects.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support to users at all levels of the organization.
