Job summary

Cimarron Software Services, Inc. is seeking an IT Scrum Master to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract. This 100% onsite role can be based at Schriever Space Force Base (COS), Redstone Arsenal (HSV), or Fort Belvoir (VA).

The ideal candidate will align Scrum practices with SAFe, coach teams, and drive Agile adoption across geographically split sites while ensuring cybersecurity and operations fit within Agile workflows.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen due to facility security requirements.
• Valid Real ID-compliant driver’s license or state ID.
• 4+ years of general work experience.
• 2+ years as Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Project Manager.
• Current Agile certification (CSM, PSM I, or SSM).
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience applying Agile to IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the RTE to align Scrum Master with SAFe frameworks and Agile release trains.
• Design, implement, and train the IT team on customized Agile processes.
• Establish a cohesive, hybrid engagement across COS and HSV locations.
• Facilitate an optimized Agile battle rhythm for IT and infrastructure teams.
• Coach the team and organization on Agile/Scrum practices to deliver IT solutions.
• Assist the Product Owner and Tech Leads with backlog maintenance and user stories.
• Ensure data for planning is documented in the system of record for reporting.
• Deliver weekly metrics to the RTE.
• Identify and resolve impediments to meet Sprint goals.
• Manage capacity, sprint velocity, and burn-down charts.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies during upgrades or break/fix activities.
• Ensure IT service delivery and cybersecurity tasks integrate into Agile workflows.
• Foster continuous improvement and accountability.
