Job summary

LaunchTech, LLC, a veteran-owned company, seeks an IT Scrum Master to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract. The role operates in a hybrid on-site environment with teams in Huntsville and Colorado Springs.

You will partner with the RTE, train IT staff on Agile processes, and mentor engineers new to Agile while maintaining backlogs with Product Owners and delivering weekly metrics. The candidate should have 4+ years IT work experience, 2+ years as Scrum Master/PM, valid Agile

Qualifications

• 4+ years of general (full-time) work experience.
• 2+ years of directly related experience as Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Project Manager.
• Active Agile certification (CSM, PSM I, or SSM).
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps for remote and hybrid teams.
• Experience applying Agile methodologies to IT operations.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (and ability to obtain Top Secret).
• Experience with SAFe and Agile processes in DoD/government environments (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Partner with the RTE to align Scrum Master role with SAFe frameworks and Agile release trains.
• Design, implement, and train IT teams on customized Agile processes for structured delivery.
• Foster a cohesive hybrid team across HSV and COS locations.
• Facilitate an optimized Agile cadence matching IT and infrastructure delivery cycles.
• Coach teams on Scrum practices to deliver high-quality IT solutions.
• Assist Product Owner and Technical Leads with backlog maintenance and user stories.
• Ensure data for planning is captured in the system of record for reporting and metrics.
• Deliver weekly metrics to the RTE.
• Identify and resolve impediments affecting sprint goals.
• Manage capacity, velocity, and burn-down charts; coordinate cross-team dependencies.
• Integrate cybersecurity tasks into Agile workflow and promote continuous improvement.
