Job summary

IonQ, Inc. is seeking a Senior IT Administrator to be the dedicated on-site IT presence for our College Park office and two satellite labs. You will provide hands-on support, manage end-user devices, and maintain lab infrastructure while coordinating with the broader IT team.

The role requires 6+ years in similar roles, proficiency across Windows, Linux, and macOS, and experience with SAML-based SaaS apps and cloud productivity suites. On-site work in College Park is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in System Administrator, Desktop Support, or Helpdesk.
• Hands-on end-user technical support in a corporate environment.
• Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Experience administering SAML-based SaaS Apps (Okta, Entra, Jumpcloud).
• Experience with M365 and Google Workspace.
• Solid understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
• Experience with A/V setup and support for video conferencing solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and inventory/asset tracking.
• Must be able to work on-site full-time in the College Park office.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT operations and end-user support for College Park and two satellite labs.
• Deliver Level 2 helpdesk and desktop support.
• Manage asset lifecycle and lab hardware provisioning, maintenance, and retirement.
• Provide lab equipment support and A/V management for conference rooms and events.
• Lab workstation management including imaging and baseline configurations.
• Set up lab data access and networking permissions, plus DNS/server configuration.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and software updates for lab workstations.
• Assist network infrastructure deployment and remote site installations.
• Participate in corporate IT projects, upgrades, and security initiatives.
