Job summary

Innovative Consulting & Management Services (ICMS) seeks an Instrumentation and Control Panel Technician for an onsite contract in Laurel, Maryland. You will install, maintain, inspect, and repair control systems and instrumentation to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires troubleshooting multi-loop processes, editing PLC logic, and performing preventive maintenance. Strong communication and independent work capability are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or GED is standard; vocational/technical graduates preferred.
3+ years of experience with multi-loop control processes and PLC logic.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance per published guidelines.
Working knowledge of computer/software-based monitoring and control devices.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and routine maintenance on control systems including HVAC, boiler, water/wastewater, building automation, electrical substations and generators.
Troubleshoot and test control panels and instrumentation, calibrate as needed.
Monitor and repair sensors and electronic devices.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and interpret instructions clearly.
