Job summary

Revolution Technologies in Manassas, Virginia seeks an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer for a 12‑month onsite contract. The role focuses on design, development, and implementation of advanced control systems in high-tech facilities.

W2 or Single Corp; NO SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE. Ideal candidates have ABET‑accredited Electrical Engineering degrees, 6+ years in industrial control, and PLC experience (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Schneider).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related ABET program.
6+ years in industrial control systems engineering and design.
Experience with PLC-based systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider).
Knowledge of NFPA 70 and UL 508A codes and standards.
Strong communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Develop proposals, budgets, and schedules for process-specific work.
Design facility control systems, fire alarms, chemical controls, TGM, and SCADA.
Develop P&IDs, loop drawings, and detailed wiring diagrams.
Size and select instruments, control devices, and valves; prepare data sheets.
Review vendor submittals to ensure code compliance and client specs.
Create Sequence of Operation (SOO) documents.
Present findings to clients and internal teams.
