Job summary

Calibre Academy of Yuma is seeking a caring Instructional Support Specialist to support students and teachers in creating a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment onsite for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, 10-month role runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.

to 4 p.m. You will provide one-on-one and small-group academic support, assist with assignments and classroom activities, support student focus and behavior, and help with online sessions and school events, while

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Must successfully complete required background checks.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one and small-group academic support.
Assist students with assignments, organization, and classroom activities.
Support student focus, behavior, and social-emotional needs as appropriate.
Assist teachers with classroom preparation, materials, and activities.
Help students with their online sessions.
Support testing, field trips, school events, and other site activities.
Communicate student concerns to teachers or school leadership.
Maintain student confidentiality and follow all school policies and safety requirements.
