Job summary

Kempsville Building Materials (a division of Carter Lumber) is seeking an Installed Sales Project Supervisor to oversee installations, repairs and remodeling work by installers and subcontractors. The role requires knowledge of building materials, codes, and a strong customer-service focus.

Responsibilities include scheduling, site analysis with subcontractors, plan interpretation for quality installation, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Previous project management or on-site experience in a building materials/construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and process improvements.
• Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions with sound judgment.
• Strong math skills and written/verbal communication.
• Ability to analyze and recommend solutions.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates installed services.
• Analyzes job site with subcontractor prior to beginning of a job.
• Interprets plans to ensure quality installation.
• Oversees subcontractors and maintains schedules.
• Provides project status and resolves issues with Installed Sales Manager.
• Estimates material take-off and ensures materials are ordered.
• Directs installers/contractors to meet safety and regulatory guidelines.
