Job summary

Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an Injection Molding Process Engineer to optimize production, improve molding equipment and processes, reduce downtime and scrap, and drive corrective-action initiatives on site in Spartanburg, SC. Direct Hire, 100% onsite position.

You will identify improvements, troubleshoot molding-related issues, implement corrective actions, inspect molds, and support new product development while leading lean initiatives and staying compliant with ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Direct experience in injection molding manufacturing facility or substantial injection molding expertise.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and industrial troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to analyze manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, leadership, and supervisory skills.
• AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Willingness to provide on-call support and travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Identify equipment and process improvements that increase quality, safety, ergonomics, and cost savings.
• Troubleshoot injection molding processes, tooling, equipment, and quality concerns.
• Implement permanent corrective actions using root-cause analysis.
• Inspect incoming molds and equipment for compliance with build specifications.
• Provide responsive production support to minimize downtime.
• Support product development and Design for Manufacturing principles.
• Assist with validation trials, feasibility studies, and performance testing.
• Develop specifications, tooling, processes, and training procedures.
• Lead scrap-reduction and lean-manufacturing initiatives.
• Support Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 standards.
• Supervise direct reports and support their development.
• Remain available for on-call production needs.
• Travel as necessary.
