Job summary

City of Houston is seeking an Inspector of Infrastructure Project Controls to serve as the on-site technical representative for HAS construction projects. You will ensure airfield and terminal projects meet FAA standards, building codes, and contract requirements, while monitoring quality control and reporting to minimize disruptions.

The role involves field inspections, coordination with contractors and stakeholders, and generating detailed inspection reports.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED and up to 18 months of inspection training.
• Two years of journey-level inspection experience required.
• May require valid Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, conducts, and reviews inspections for compliance with specifications.
• Performs inspections, identifies problems and recommends solutions; issues correction notices/citations.
• Meets with the public, contractors, technical professionals and other stakeholders.
• Maintains filing systems, reports and documentation.
• Researches and evaluates plans, specifications and drawings (FAA standards, airport facilities).
• Prepares and submits various technical reports.
• Generates quality inspection reports via HAS project management system.
