Job summary

Lansing Community College is seeking an Information Security Analyst (FT Admin) to partner with the Information Security Team in administering and monitoring the College’s security infrastructure. The role focuses on investigating and responding to security events and supporting business continuity, disaster recovery, and risk management across college systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Significant information security or related work experience.
• Criminal background check required for final candidates.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Information Security Team to administer and monitor the College’s information security infrastructure, including planning for business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to information security events involving all college technology devices and policy violations.
• Assist with evaluating risks to the College originating from IT projects.
• Lead projects aimed at improving the security architecture of college systems.
• Develop security awareness messages and communicate them to the college community.
• Serve as a technical liaison to ITS and other college personnel.
