Job summary

Doctors of Physical Therapy is seeking an Industrial Onsite Physical or Occupational Therapist for a new Lake Orion location. The role partners with a leading American manufacturer to focus on injury prevention, screening, and early intervention in an industrial setting.

The position begins early January 2027. No productivity requirements; onboarding and mentorship are provided to keep workers healthy and productive in a state-of-the-art industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of physical or occupational therapy experience.
• Ergonomic assessments preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess musculoskeletal symptoms and provide treatment per OSHA First Aid Guidelines.
• Provide early intervention assessment and care.
• Coach employees on body mechanics and work postures.
• Identify ergonomic areas of concern and recommend solutions to lower risk.
• Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based PT/OT care.
• Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance and coordination.
• Consult with safety team, plant management, production supervisors, and other stakeholders.
• Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
