Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings is seeking a Process Engineer to lead daily operations at the Greensboro, GA facility. You will drive plant output optimization, reduce downtime and scrap, and support capital projects with robust data analysis and SOP development.

You will champion continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, DOE, and other CI tools, collaborating with the plant leadership team to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Science Engineering with 3–10 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in high-volume, continuous manufacturing is required.
• PVC processing and extrusion experience is highly desirable.
• Fundamental OT networks and automation understanding is preferred.
• Six Sigma and DOE knowledge is a plus.
• Must work on-site in Greensboro, GA, Monday–Friday 6:30am–4pm, with possible overtime and travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations by directing technical activities to solve plant-wide problems.
• Develop and maintain SOPs/SOCs and training for new products and systems.
• Analyze scrap, downtime, line rates, and material usage to drive data-driven decisions.
• Reduce process variation and optimize quality to meet standards.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives and drive improvements via WCI/PIP.
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, 5S/6S, TPM, Kaizen, DOE, FMEAs, and related tools.
• Develop equipment scope with vendors, define timelines, and support capital projects.
