Job summary

3D Systems Corporation is seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Technician to provide hands-on engineering support and maintenance for plastics materials production at our Rock Hill, SC facility. You will perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and collaborate with production and engineering to diagnose faults and implement improvements.

This role requires a 2-year technical degree and 2 years of maintenance experience, plus strong communication skills and proficiency

Qualifications

• 2-year Technical Degree, Trade School or equivalent experience required.
• 2 years of Maintenance Technician experience required.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Mechanical or electrical fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with skilled tradesmen and/or engineers for the purpose of completing projects efficiently.
• Design and complete small fabrication projects involving mechanical and electrical systems.
• Install system component parts for the purpose of providing a safe and workable environment.
• Maintain tools and measurement equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability and are in safe operating condition.
• Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
• Perform a wide variety of general and semiskilled maintenance for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames.
• Prepare written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.
• Respond to emergency situations and equipment break downs during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Conduct maintenance tasks on all equipment in manufacturing
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment in manufacturing on required schedule; sets required schedules if not predetermined
