Job summary

Actalent is expanding its Industrial Engineering team in Charlotte, NC, with an onsite position focusing on labor standards, capacity planning, line balancing, and continuous improvement. The role partners with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver scalable, data-driven improvements.

The candidate will lead labor standards development, time studies, and workflow optimization while advancing Lean initiatives and plant performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of industrial engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with labor standards, time studies, and work measurement.
• Capacity planning, line balancing, and workflow optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects.
• Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and manufacturing data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain labor standards, time studies, and work measurement systems.
• Develop standardized IE methodologies and governance for labor standards.
• Build capacity models to support production planning and growth.
• Lead line balancing and process optimization to improve throughput.
• Drive Lean and Carrier Excellence initiatives across the facility.
• Design and maintain factory layouts and optimize material flow.
• Analyze production data and build dashboards for performance metrics.
