Job summary

Advanced Technology Services, Inc. seeks an Onsite Controls Engineer (Industrial) in Pontiac, Illinois to test and modify control systems and support PLC/SCADA operations within a manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with design and operations teams, review procedures, analyze data, and prepare technical documents and business proposals as part of continuous improvement efforts. The role emphasizes safety, quality compliance, and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
• Ability to write technical documents and business proposals.
• Knowledge of APC, DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
• Basic communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with computers and software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ladder Logic, Step7, ASI Gateway.

Responsibilities

• Tests and modifies existing control systems.
• Reviews and updates procedures and documents.
• Analyzes data and reports results to management.
• Collaborates with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers, and internal staff.
• Provides technical/troubleshooting support for mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations.
• Provides training and consulting for new employees, staff, and customers.
• Develops new business proposals.
