Job summary

New England Tech Air Inc in North Carolina is seeking a hands-on Project Manager to lead HVAC and MEP commercial projects from kickoff to closeout. You will own schedules, budgets, client communications, and field coordination to keep work on time and on budget.

This role requires travel to our Maine office in the first 3 months weekly, and ongoing on-site visits to job sites. You are decisive, clear, and accountable, with a track record of delivering complex trades projects.

Qualifications

• Five+ years managing projects in HVAC or MEP trades.
• Strong technical grasp of HVAC systems and coordination processes.
• Comfort with scheduling and budget tracking tools.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing subcontractors and vendors.
• Comfort on active job sites and with regular field visits.
• Valid driver license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel to Maine weekly in first 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Managing Client Relationships: set expectations early, maintain open dialogue, raise concerns before they turn into complaints.
• Delivering Projects On Time and On Budget: plan phases, build schedules, track budgets from kickoff to closeout, report progress clearly.
• Directing Task and Team Coordination: assign work, oversee trades, resolve scheduling conflicts, keep work moving.
• Driving Field and Office Integration: ensure estimating, design, procurement and field hand off cleanly.
• Keeping Documentation Honest and Current: manage change orders, RFIs, budgets, schedules and meeting minutes.
