Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world's largest HVAC company, is hiring a full-time HVAC Journeyman for onsite service in Salt Lake City, UT. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems including chillers, rooftops, and boilers, while mentoring apprentices and documenting work for customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility
• Journeyman by the union
• High School Diploma or GED
• HVAC technical school certificate or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
• Rotational Emergency Call Support
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial/industrial HVAC equipment
• Service equipment including chillers, rooftop units, fan coils, water source heat pumps, AHUs, cooling towers, and boilers
• Perform intermediate/advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing
• Lead apprentices and provide hands-on guidance on rebuilds/retrofits
• Document billing, timecards, inventory, and service reports in a timely manner
• Download programs to equipment and analyze trend data to optimize performance
• Adhere to safety policies and OSHA guidelines during service
