Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking an on-site Human Resources Specialist to lead staffing, training, engagement, orientation and onboarding efforts for the Tallahassee store population.

The role includes administrative functions, HR policy communication, and support for the General Manager. Candidates should have 1–3 years HR/administrative experience and a high school diploma, with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree in HR.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.
• 1–3 years of HR and administrative/office experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite HR initiatives in staffing, training, engagement, orientation, onboarding, and administration.
• Assist General Manager with administrative functions.
• Support hiring/staffing for hourly outfitters and ensure training completion.
• Process and audit employment actions in HRIS/Payroll/Scheduling system.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Coordinate associate recognition programs and HR policy communication.
• Ensure compliance with legal posters and notices; maintain records.
• Support performance management, annual reviews, and succession planning.
• Handle invoicing and expenses in Coupa; order/store supplies; coordinate travel.
• Other duties as assigned.
