Job summary

CFS in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to own the full payroll and benefits function with visibility across the organization.

You will process bi-weekly payroll for a multi-state workforce, administer health, dental, vision, life and retirement plans, manage enrollments and vendor relationships, and lead improvements to HR systems and processes to support a growing organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience with responsibility for end-to-end payroll administration.
• Demonstrated experience managing employee benefits programs and vendor relationships.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, payroll taxes, benefits administration, and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely for a multi-state workforce
• Administer all employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life, and retirement plans
• Manage benefit enrollments, changes, open enrollment, and employee communications
• Lead benefit vendor relationships, contract reviews, and cost negotiations
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax, wage and hour, and benefits regulations
• Generate payroll and benefits reports and support audits as needed
