LOTH, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Payroll & HR Specialist to deliver accurate payroll processing, reporting, and HR support in partnership with the HR director.

This role covers multiple entities and requires attention to detail and strong collaboration with supervisors and staff. You will manage bi-weekly payroll, 401k funding, benefits invoices, and compliance with federal and state laws, while providing backup benefits and onboarding support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of payroll experience, required.
• Paycor experience, preferred.
• Understanding of payroll laws and functions.
• Excellent organizational skills - Ability to maintain excellent weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end records, reports and documents.
• Must be timely and efficient.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple companies and 100+ employees.
• Ensure payroll is signed off timely and within deadlines.
• Analyze, prepare, and enter payroll data in automated systems.
• Process 401k contributions after each payroll cycle.
• Handle retroactive pay, merit increases, bonuses and special pays.
• Maintain local withholding accounts and respond to tax notices.
• Prepare and issue year-end payroll documents (W-2s) according to IRS guidelines.
• Provide HR support including benefits, onboarding, and open enrollment.
