Job summary

ScaleWRX is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to own day-to-day HR functions onsite in Reno, NV. You will manage recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll coordination, and compliance across states while partnering with leadership to drive performance and culture.

You should be comfortable enforcing policies, handling sensitive situations, and guiding managers on HR best practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role offers growth as ScaleWRX scales its operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including independent handling of employee relations and HR compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant HR experience will be considered.
• Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience handling employee relations and sensitive/confidential matters.
• Experience with benefits administration, onboarding, performance management, and HR compliance.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, construction, skilled trades, or a similar workforce is strongly preferred.
• Multi-state HR experience is a plus.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll platforms; Rippling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite HR resource for employees and leadership, supporting the full employee lifecycle.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes and coordinate new-hire orientation.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and payroll-related changes and documentation.
• Handle employee relations, coaching, investigations, and corrective actions as needed.
• Partner with managers on performance management and employee development.
• Administer benefits and assist with enrollment questions.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR policies including the handbook.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states.
• Assist with I-9s, E-Verify, background checks, and pre-employment requirements.
• Track HR metrics and develop scalable procedures to support growth.
• Foster a positive workplace culture and act as a trusted resource to staff and management.
