Job summary

voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation seeks an HR Generalist/Safety Coordinator to provide comprehensive onsite HR support to employees and plant leadership in Shelbyville, KY. The role covers recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and compliance across all shifts.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in HR Generalist roles, strong communication, and a track record of confidential handling of information. OSHA/HRIS familiarity and safety program coordination are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR or related field.
• 2–5 years of HR Generalist experience, including employee relations.
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration.
• Strong communication, coaching, organization, and confidentiality.
• Knowledge of HR practices, safety compliance, HRIS, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite HR partner to plant leadership and coordinate with HR teams.
• Advise managers on employee relations and resolve workplace concerns.
• Coordinate recruiting, staffing, onboarding, offboarding, and benefits orientation.
• Manage unemployment claims and related documentation.
• Maintain HR records, job descriptions, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate plant safety programs and training records.
