Job summary

Valley Health System in Paramus, NJ seeks a Human Resources Generalist to serve as the frontline resource for employees, applicants and visitors contacting HR. This onsite role focuses on recruitment coordination and advancing onboarding for staff across the health system.

You will be the first point of contact, support recruitment efforts, and help ensure new hires and HR activities move forward smoothly. The position requires strong communication, organization, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of office type support/administrative experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers to meet their needs.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
• Good organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for the Human Resources department for incoming employees, applicants, and visitors.
• Coordinate recruitment efforts that support the onboarding process for staff hires of the health system and other Human Resources areas as needed.
