Job summary

Orgill Inc. is hiring an onsite Human Resources Generalist at our Sikeston, MO distribution center to support employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and HR compliance.

You will supervise HR staff, interpret policies, lead investigations, manage payroll and benefits processes, and help with workforce planning. A strong HR background in distribution or manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive HR experience preferred, ideally in distribution, manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics.
• Working knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, employment law, FMLA, ADA, payroll, benefits, and HR compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, with the ability to handle confidential information.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support HR office staff by coordinating daily priorities and workflow to keep operations moving.
• Act as a front-line HR partner by interpreting policies, answering employee and leader questions, and resolving workplace concerns.
• Lead employee investigations and support performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, and employee relations.
• Oversee recruiting and interviewing, manage onboarding and orientation, and coordinate temporary staffing partnerships.
• Administer and support key HR programs including FMLA, ADA accommodations, disability programs, modified duty, payroll, and benefits processes.
• Review HR data such as turnover, retention, absenteeism, recruiting, and productivity to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, training, leadership development, succession planning, and workforce planning.
• Help ensure consistent HR practices and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
• Provide backup support to the Human Resources Manager and partner closely with leadership.
