Job summary

Grainger, a leading broad line distributor, is seeking an on-site Human Resource Generalist for our Minooka, Illinois distribution center. The role supports leadership and team members, translating human capital effects to drive performance and culture.

The position offers four ten-hour shifts weekly (Sunday–Thursday) with benefits starting on day one, including health plans and a 401(k) company match. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in HR or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HR or related field.
• Experience with staffing, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
• Ability to handle confidential information and diagnose HR issues.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement HR programs and process improvements.
• Handle ongoing people-related projects.
• Implement HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Identify ways to improve resources to support the organization.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws.
• Manage vendors for employee programs.
• Assist with communications plans.
• Support workers' compensation program at the facility.
