Job summary

LeCom Utility Contractors in Warren, MI is hiring a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to support a full range of HR functions at our Warren, MI location (onsite). This role partners with leadership and employees to keep HR processes running smoothly, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, training support, performance coordination, benefits administration, and employment law compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, 2–4 years of HR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field.
• 2–4 years as a Human Resources Generalist.
• Solid understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems such as ADP, Paycom, and BambooHR.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support HR policy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Serve as a trusted HR contact for employees and leadership.
• Coordinate employee communications and onboarding processes.
• Counsel supervisory personnel on employee relations matters and investigations.
• Assist with performance appraisal processes and employee development initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date HR records and generate reports for audits.
• Organize employee engagement activities and manage new hire packets.
