The Department of Children and Family Services, State of Louisiana, is seeking a Human Resources Analyst A/B/Specialist in Baton Rouge. The role delivers advanced HR support, performance management and disciplined documentation, counseling managers, and reviewing disciplinary letters to strengthen case files.

Ideal candidates have 3 years HR experience (or 6 years in any field) or a bachelor’s degree, with proficiency in policy adherence, investigative methods, and written communication.

Qualifications

• Three years of human resources experience; OR
• Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
• A bachelor’s degree.
• EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field.

Responsabilités

• Counsels with managers and supervisors regarding the documentation of substandard performance/behavior.
• Reviews drafts of disciplinary letters and makes recommendations for change.
• Consults with legal staff as needed.
• May conduct very complex or sensitive administrative and disciplinary investigations.
• Draft non-disciplinary removal letters.
• Prepares suspension pending investigation letters, enters quotas in LaGov system and monitors leave entries.
• Prepares documentation for Civil Service Appeals and represents the department as an advisor or witness in Appeal hearings.
• Provides guidance to employees and management staff regarding the grievance process.
• Processes request for information.
• Develops discipline training material and conducts training sessions.
