Job summary

Top Echelon LLC is seeking a Tooling Engineer for a high-pressure die casting operation in Northeast Wisconsin. This onsite role offers a base salary of $95,000–$120,000 and opportunities for senior HPDC candidates.

You will lead development, design, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of HPDC tooling, working closely with production teams, tooling suppliers and cross-functional groups to maximize uptime and die life.

Qualifications

Direct HPDC tooling experience in a manufacturing setting.
Experience with HPDC dies/tooling in an actual production environment.
Strong die design and tooling understanding.
Proficiency with CAD (NX/CATIA/SolidWorks).
Experience troubleshooting and modifying dies.
Ability to work with manufacturing/production teams and be onsite.

Responsibilities

Develop, modify and maintain high-pressure die casting tooling.
Troubleshoot tooling issues directly within a production environment.
Analyze tooling downtime and dimensional data and develop corrective solutions.
Support improvements involving die filling, thermal balance, venting, die life, cooling/water systems, tooling reliability, and dimensional repeatability.
Create and maintain tooling CAD drawings, revisions and spare-part documentation.
Support new tool builds, modifications, cavity replacements and die components.
Work with tooling suppliers and internal manufacturing teams.
Participate in tooling design reviews and technical problem-solving; support PPAP and manufacturing acceptance.
