Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Registered Dietitian for the Mississippi State Hospital - Whitfield campus. You will assess nutritional needs, plan interventions, and collaborate with the health care team to support patient wellness.

As part of Elior North America, you will work onsite in Whitfield, MS, ensuring adherence to nutrition standards, care planning, and ongoing education for staff and residents. Competitive benefits and paid hours offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024)
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets Academy requirements
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years per CDR
• Licensed or certified as required by state
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments and care planning
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics
• Nice-to-haves: Experience in healthcare or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024)

Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field

Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility

Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process

Licensed or certified, per state requirements

Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights

Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics
