Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead renovation and capital construction projects ranging from $50K to $25M. Reporting to the Sr.

Construction Manager and Director of Planning, Design, and Construction, this role will oversee projects from initial client engagement and strategic planning through construction, completion, and closeout. We are looking for someone with a minimum of four (4) years work experience of construction management/capital

Qualifications

• 4 years of project management/construction experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Experience in hospital, academic university systems, and/or research facilities.
• Strong knowledge of hospital code and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project scope from definition to closeout, including budgets, schedules, change orders, GMPs, contracts, and quality control.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.
• Manage A/E teams, construction teams, and external consultants to meet design specs and contractual commitments.
• Ensure contractual compliance and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors.
• Develop and implement project documentation and reporting for executive leadership.
• Monitor permits and inspections and drive risk mitigation and issue resolution.
• Close out projects with proper document control and handover to Facilities Management.
