Job summary

SteerBridge is seeking a Construction Manager – Construction Administrator to provide on-site oversight for VA medical facility upgrades at Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, OK.

The role requires coordinating with COR, reviewing submittals, RFIs, scheduling, field inspections, and ensuring compliance with VA standards while minimizing disruption to patient care. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture or 3 years'

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent construction experience as listed.
• Three years of progressively responsible construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings.
• Excellent communication and coordination with COR and project teams.
• Experience with healthcare facilities or mission-critical environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Contractor’s point of contact with the COR for assigned projects.
• Provide on-site construction management and administrative oversight.
• Coordinate submittal reviews and RFIs to ensure compliance with specs.
• Review submittals to verify materials meet VA standards and codes.
• Document and track RFIs and responses throughout construction.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and field inspections.
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions with the COR.
• Assist in commissioning and closeout activities.
• Manage contract changes, budgets, and cost accounting.
• Attend progress meetings and maintain thorough records.
