Triumvirate Environmental in Redwood City, CA, is hiring an Environmental Specialist to support on-site hazardous waste programs for diverse clients in education, life sciences, healthcare, and manufacturing. You will manage regulatory compliance, prepare waste shipments, and collaborate with client teams to deliver safe, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hazardous-waste industry.
• Ability to work as a team or individually.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Analytical ability to develop solutions and implement strategies.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours.
• Opportunity to complete a 2–3 year advancement program in hazardous waste management.
• Safety-sensitive role requiring PPE and on-call readiness.
• Must be able to report to office within 1 hour during Emergency Response shifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of OSHA regulations and Triumvirate’s Health and Safety practices.
• Prepare chemical and biological waste shipments and paperwork for federal/state compliance.
• Safely handle hazardous waste containers on client sites and load/unload waste.
• Conduct safety equipment and hazardous waste inspections.
• Occasionally perform and document EHS audits for clients.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and innovative solutions.
• Develop regulatory expertise ensuring client compliance (RCRA, DOT, OSHA).
• Conduct spill response assessments and cleanup efforts.
• Rotate on-call for Emergency Response (optional).
