Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking an Environmental Specialist for our Lab & Onsite Support Services team in the Los Angeles area. You will manage client hazardous waste programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and provide on-site support and safety oversight.

You will develop regulatory expertise, perform waste preparation and shipments, conduct safety inspections, and contribute to emergency response activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in hazardous-waste field or relevant military experience.
• Ability to work as a member of a team as well as individually.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to analyze complex issues and implement solutions.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours.
• Valid US driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of OSHA regulations and Triumvirate Health & Safety practices.
• Prepare chemical and biological waste for shipment and disposal, including required documents.
• Safely handle hazardous waste containers on client sites and assist with loading/unloading waste.
• Conduct safety equipment and hazardous waste inspections.
• Occasionally perform EHS audits for clients and report findings.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and innovative client solutions.
• Develop regulatory expertise to meet client compliance (RCRA, DOT, OSHA).
• Perform spill response and coordinate cleanup efforts.
• Participate in rotating on-call Emergency Response (optional).
