Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support complex hardware development programs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role sits onsite near Harrisburg, PA, acts as a bridge between teams and Program Managers, and drives execution across production test and signal integrity initiatives.

The position requires 2+ years in project coordination/management in manufacturing, with PMP preferred and travel up to 60% initially.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in project coordination or management within a manufacturing, hardware, or mechanical environment.
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, unstructured, high-pressure settings with shifting priorities.
Demonstrated ability to communicate across technical teams and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
PMP certification preferred.
Willingness to travel 50-60% initially.

Responsibilities

Support planning, budgeting, and execution of complex new product development projects in a high-change environment.
Act as a communication bridge between internal teams and Program Managers to ensure alignment on schedules, deliverables, and priorities.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to keep programs on track.
Monitor project scope, timelines, and financials while escalating risks, resource gaps, and delays.
Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and support readiness for production, capacity planning, and system setup.
