Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, FL is seeking an FPGA Engineer II for the CNS Hardware Engineering Group. This onsite role focuses on supporting CNS products with a team of FPGA engineers, performing RTL design, verification, and DO-254 artifact creation.

The engineer will work on digital architectures, timing and synthesis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet program milestones and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Experience with RTL and testbenches in VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Experience with FPGA tools: Questasim, Vivado, Libero, Synplify Pro.

Responsibilities

• Capture, decompose, and trace requirements.
• Develop ASIC/FPGA/MPSoC digital architecture and RTL code.
• Create test cases and procedures for verification in SystemVerilog or VHDL.
• Create placement and timing constraints and perform synthesis/PLACE&ROUTE.
• Perform static timing analysis, linting, LEC, and clock-domain-crossing checks.
• Verify ASIC/FPGA/MPSoC using simulations and tests.
• Create DO-254 certification artifacts for AEH.
• Participate in peer reviews and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Communicate with engineering, program management, and customers.
