Buckner Children and Family Services Community: Foster Care and Adoption, located in Lufkin, TX, invites a Home Developer for a full-time role onsite. You will coordinate recruitment of foster parents, promote Buckner Foster Care services, and assess prospective families to ensure licensing standards are met.

You will recruit and develop foster homes, maintain licensing processes, and support families with trainings, visits, and compliance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.
• Extensive knowledge of modern methods and techniques for training programs.
• Experience with administration of training programs and social work resources.
• Knowledge of current social/economic issues in the community and resources.
• Must drive or have access to a vehicle; valid license and insurance; 21+.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and to stand/walk/sit for extended periods.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate and implement recruitment of foster parents; write letters, place ads, give presentations.
• Recruit and develop foster homes; participate in public relations to educate community.
• Ensure licensing, assessment, and support processes meet standards; renew licenses as needed.
• Maintain supportive relationships with foster resources and coordinate training and support.
• Assist in coordinating visits and transportation for families; support age-appropriate activities.
• Consult with staff regarding foster family resources and support services.
• Conduct investigations related to licensed homes and assist with corrective actions.
• Participate in regional needs assessment for foster/adoptive care; maintain reports and records.
