Job summary

Redpanda is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with strategic customers and build agents, integrations, and data pipelines within the customer environment. You will write production code that ships and remains maintainable after you leave.

You will operate in unfamiliar environments, ramp quickly, and own the technical deliverable end-to-end. You’ll communicate with the customer’s engineers and drive project handoffs with clear documentation.

Qualifications

• You have built backend systems or data pipelines with real production impact.
• You have experience building agents or integrations between complex systems in production.
• You know what makes an agent reliable vs brittle and have made that call in production.
• You have worked with LLM APIs and built production-grade integrations.
• You can communicate credibly with a customer’s engineering team and translate requirements into technical work.

Responsibilities

• Build production-quality agents, integrations, and data pipelines at the customer site.
• Ramp quickly in new codebases and data environments without breaking existing systems.
• Own the technical deliverable from design to handoff, with thorough documentation.
