Job summary

RTX is hiring for an entry-level Firmware Engineer to support Collins Aerospace programs, working onsite in Largo, FL. The role focuses on developing firmware for FPGA/SoC devices used in DoD programs, with responsibilities spanning requirements, HDL design, testing, and documentation.

The candidate will work on HDL-based circuits, test benches, and constraint generation, using TCL/Perl/Python for scripting in a collaborative IPT environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced STEM degree required prior to start date.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job work, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Generate firmware requirements based on system architecture.
• Generate firmware documentation describing firmware architecture.
• Design HDL-based digital circuits that are structured and readable.
• Build test benches to verify HDL-based designs.
• Generate constraints for target device.
• Create scripts to automate build, integration, and test activities.
• Verify target device functionality in laboratory environment.
