Qualifications

• Required MFA or MA in Film or Media or related field.
• Experience with directing, screenwriting, film history and theory or directing the actor for camera.
• Commitment to integrating a Christian worldview into the classroom.
• Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned courses aligned with the institution’s mission and strategic goals.
• Maintain a consistent, active and positive presence in the classroom, facilitating course content and engaging with students.
• Monitor and participate in class discussions to promote interaction and learning.
• Respond promptly to student inquiries and concerns, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Grade assignments and provide feedback in a timely manner; complete required teaching training modules.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
