The adjunct faculty position is responsible for delivering high-quality courses that support the institution’s mission and strategic goals. Teaching assignments are offered on an as-needed basis, depending on class size and semester availability. This role requires active engagement in the classroom, timely communication, and completion of assigned teaching training modules and tasks.
At the University of Northwestern – St. Paul, all adjunct faculty members are responsible for two primary areas: teaching with effective pedagogy and classroom faith integration. This means delivering high-quality instruction that supports student learning outcomes, utilizing sound and engaging teaching practices, and fostering a Christ-centered learning environment through intentional faith integration appropriate to the discipline.
